The New England Center for Expository Preaching
Mission Statement

The New England Center for Expository Preaching (NECEP) exists to glorify God and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by giving a select number of seminary students, (who seek to become expository preachers) the opportunity to preach the Word of God to “real congregations” weekly.

While testing their expository preaching skills, thes interns are introduced to New England.  God willing, this will create a hunger for Word of God in some hearts, spark repentance in others, while promoting revitalization in congregations, and confidence to proclaim the Word of God boldly in those who participate.

The selected interns are also given opportunity to discuss and use various pastoral skills, since the best pastors have a blend of expository preaching and pastoral skills.

As this is occuring, NECEP assists the (often bi-vocational) pastors of New England, by providing a events led by well known theologians, to feed the men who are feeding the Word of God to their congregation.  Thus, NECEP is sending interns into the fields of New England throughout the year, then gathering those interns plus the pastors and church leaders together for more in depth study.

Finally NECEP desires to be used by God to assist those who desire to come back to pastor churches in New England.  The Board of Directors and support staff pray for an army of expositors, so that the next generation of New Englanders will hear the Word of God proclaimed in context.
